All proceeds after production of these shirts will go to help caregivers of of patients with Alzheimers in hospice care. This shirt was created n honor of PNF founder, Madison Peach Steiner's grandmother who lost her battle on 6/28/17 to this horrible disease.
Dear Alzheimer's, you not only stole my grandmother, you stole my mother's mother and in turn you also stole a piece of my mother in which I'll never have back. There is not a lot of awareness for this disease and it's unforgiving journey. It's more than memories lost and names forgotten, it slowly steals everyday, seemingly mindless tasks. Like the ability to know how to go from standing to sitting in a chair, how to use the restroom let alone know where the restroom is, how to use a phone, how to eat, and sometimes how to walk. It is like watching someone slowly, sadly slip away from you while remaining right in front of you. The reality is depressing and there is little hope in the decline. So here is to bringing awareness to this cussing awful and often misunderstood disease. And from the deepest parts of my heart, here is to those who are caretakers to those living with Alz. You are admirable humans. I hope you find a minute to laugh and smile at the silly little things your loved one does or did. I hope you find some peace knowing you have an unconditional love within you and that you did and are doing the best you can and it doesn't go unnoticed.
