Jake Reiss, Age 10 was diagnosed at birth with Apert Syndrome. Apert syndrome is a form of acrocephalosyndactyly, a congenital disorder characterized by malformations of the skull, face, hands and feet. In Jake’s short ten years he has undergone 12 surgeries and is about to have number 13. These include hands, feet, eyes, ears, skull and brain and Jake does it all with strength and bravery. Even though Jake looks “different” he is happy with himself and loves to make people laugh. He loves to love and wants everyone to be kind and peaceful. His favorite activity is hanging out with his family and watching baseball. He is the biggest Dodgers fan around! During Jake’s surgeries he wants everyone to remember to be kind to one another and wear Hustle Kindness Tshirts. This tshirt represents all of Jake’s favorite things.
