Handmade Navajo earrings made by local Farmington artist Victoria J. Yazzie
Yazzie is a life-long resident of New Mexico, she is a member of the Navajo Nation and is Hooghanłani (Manyhogans) and Tóahedleeni (Two Waters Flow Together) clan affiliations. Yazzie is a retired Archaeologist and worked 26 years with the Navajo Nation Archaeology Department and Dykeman Roebuck Archaeology. She is a self-taught seamstress who specializes in making Navajo cultural garments and bags, she also makes cultural jewelry items and occasionally paints in acrylic. She makes her home northwest New Mexico with her son and pets Rolie and Kumo.
