Hearts for Autism Four Corners

Hustle Kindness has teamed up with Hearts for Autism Four Corners to help spread acceptance among the Autism Community. Below is their story and how to reach out to them!

Several years ago, three mamas of kiddos with Autism were asked if they would become the admins of a local Autism Support Group, 4 Corners Families with Autism.  At the time the group had dwindled somewhat and it was thought that Autism parents would respond better to other Autism parents.  In hopes of growth, these three mamas, who didn’t know one another, united together and continued with monthly meetings, bringing in guest speakers, and providing resources; growing not only their bond, but also the bond between families and community. After two years of Covid and solely Zoom meetings, we put on our first Light it Up Blue Event in September 2021 and had an amazing outcome! 

Currently we have joined forces with Hearts for Autism, who serves Southern New Mexico, and is a nonprofit that shares our mission of empowering families and caregivers; celebrating the unique needs of Autism and educating the community to embrace all. By becoming a chapter of Hearts for Autism we will have the capability and greater opportunity to put together sensory friendly events for our families and the community. We are Maria Del Sol Dowell, Chelsey Renn, Melody Begay, and we welcome Lisa Perez to our admin team, now, Hearts for Autism Four Corners; and we are so excited for the future of this group!
