Coming Out!! by Micaylah
Coming out at first was scary, and for me it wasn’t my ideal situation.
But since that day, I have felt more comfortable with myself. And even though it has been over two years since I was “officially” out, I still find myself going through the process of telling people every day (and to everyone who still doesn’t know, yes I do identify as a part of the alphabet mafia). What I’ve realized about my experience is that it doesn’t get easier, but it becomes more natural to be open and honest with those around you. So to anyone who hasn’t been as fortunate to live their truth like I have, the grass is greener. And when it is safe for you to share that part of your life, you will feel a weight lifted off of you.
